There are many considerations to think about when brining new products to market: How should the new product be priced? How much do the company expect to sell? What should be the channel strategy for the new product? What are the potential key risks and how to mitigate against it in the portfolio planning?
Holistic planning from product concepting is vital, but it doesn’t end there. Product go-to-market strategy may need to significantly alter as the markets change during the portfolio development phase. Also, the strategy may need to be meaningfully different for different markets.
